A footbridge was constructed to preserve the Bryant neighborhood's access to King Park.
A: To fully engage the community the Partnership has broken the project into three phases. This is common for community projects of this size. The first phase is the design concept phase this phase will consist of an international search for a bridge design. This phase should be completed during 2006. The second phase of the project will be readying the design concept for construction. This phase should be complete in 2007 or 2008. The third phase is the construction phase. The timing of this phase is still somewhat up in the air. The partnership’s goal is to raise the money and construct the bridge in as timely a manner as possible to do this we’ll need your help.
A: The money for the new bridge will come from a mix of private and public money. The Partnership feels it is important to bring together individuals, government, neighborhoods, nonprofits, and businesses to fund this project as a community-wide initiative.
